By the Society : The Stories They Tell: Understanding Missouri History through Maps
The Stories They Tell: Understanding Missouri History through Maps

This booklet accompanies an exhibit of over thirty maps organized by Walter Schroeder, associate professor emeritus at the University of Missouri-Columbia. The maps, which date from 1818 to 2006, cover a wide range of topics, including early statehood statistics, the Civil War, the 1874 locust infestations, and a potential site for the Missouri state capitol in Sedalia. Schroeder provides a detailed discussion of each map.
