Ensure a Legacy for Missouri’s History
Become a Member of the
The 1898 Society honors benefactors of The State Historical Society of Missouri. Named for the founding year of the Society, this association recognizes those individuals whose generous donations of $1,000 or more help to ensure a permanent legacy for the Society’s invaluable resources.
Through the 1898 Society, we are building an endowment to support and enhance our programs, collections, and publications. Contributions can be made in cash or through a will or trust provision.
Members receive a print of George Caleb Bingham’s Watching the Cargo, an invitation to an annual 1898 Society luncheon, and invitations to exclusive opening receptions for exhibits in the Society’s Art Gallery.
Please join with other individuals who have given generously to preserve the history of Missouri.
